News from Spain
We have met a lot of people since we became involved with Alpacas. We have met people who were the pioneers of alpaca breeding in this country, experienced alpaca owners from abroad and people who are just embarking on a life with alpacas.
We have met people who just have half a dozen alpacas and others with dreams of huge herds grazing vast acreages.
Alpaca owners come from all sorts of different backgrounds with a common factor being a love for these wonderful animals.
Last summer we met Alan and Lorna who visited us and spent time talking about and walking with our alpacas.
They had a fantastic plan involving moving to Spain and owning a herd of alpacas.
Realising it was probably easier and better for them to buy their alpacas in Spain we put them in touch with a lovely couple we had met earlier in the year who had recently moved to Spain themselves; Nigel and Ginny Cobb have taken the plunge and really are the pioneers of alpaca breeding in Spain. They are based near Malaga in Andalucia.

We recently heard from Alan and Lorna who were just about to leave our shores for Cordoba in southern Spain and had indeed bought some alpacas from Nigel and Ginny. It is lovely to see someone's dream coming together, well done. They are now in Spain and Alpacas El Sol is born!
Alan and Lorna have a blog and they asked me to put a link to it on our site. We will hopefull keep in touch with Alan and Lorna and wish them well in their venture.
